To simplify our club ways of working and to assist in aligning behind our key strategic objectives, we have formed 5 cross club sub committees to help drive our club plan forward.
You don't have to be on committee to get involved, just interested in helping to make the club better, more accessible, sustainable etc - so please reach out and join in.

Playing Committee

The Playing Committee is responsible for coordinating all adult rugby activities outside of the M&J section. It comprises representatives from the 1st XV, 2nd XV, Women’s XV, Touch, and Colts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee player recruitment, development and retention for senior teams
- Ensure strong player availability and squad coordination
- Collaborate with M&J section to create and nurture player pathways
- Oversee compliance with RFU systems such as GMS and electronic match cards
- Maintain up-to-date team registrations

Governance and Reporting:
- Must generate a seasonal delivery plan with numeric targets (e.g., player retention, fixture completion)
- Report progress to the Executive Committee monthly or as requested
- Committee members may be invited to Exec meetings and vote if they are club members
- Publish key updates via club magazine, noticeboards, and social media to encourage engagement.

M&J Committee

The M&J Committee oversees all operations of the Minis & Juniors section, including player experience, safeguarding, and parental support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage age-group fixtures and coordination
- Provide support to coaches and team managers
- Oversee tour planning and execution
- Ensure rugby safe and safeguarding compliance
- Develop retention and progression plans

Governance and Reporting:
- Required to deliver an annual plan covering recruitment, fixtures, and coach development
- Monthly reporting to the Exec via the Junior Rep
- Update progress and promote successes through club communications channels

Facilities Committee

The Facilities Committee ensures the club's infrastructure is safe, maintained, and fit for future use.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain playing surfaces and clubhouse infrastructure
- Develop and monitor a 5-year improvement plan
- Execute a rolling maintenance and compliance schedule
- Lead matchday, event, and maintenance volunteer coordination

Governance and Reporting:
- Produce short-, medium-, and long-term facilities and volunteer development plans
- Report to the Executive monthly with milestones and cost tracking
- Communicate updates regularly to encourage member involvement in upkeep and volunteering.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee manages all financial operations and reporting for the club, ensuring sustainability and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor budgets
- Review financial performance against plan
- Manage income streams (memberships, sponsorship, grants)
- Oversee ticketing, reconciliation, and fundraising schemes

Governance and Reporting:
- Must deliver an annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reporting packs
- Targets should include income growth, cost control, and cash position
- Visibility and engagement to be maintained through financial transparency in club communications

Events Committee

The Events Committee drives social, F&B, and promotional activity to strengthen club culture and drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver annual events programme (sporting dinner, club ball, quiz nights)
- Manage matchday and function catering
- Lead social media and content to promote ONE CLUB vision
- Attract footfall, sponsorship, and positive PR

Governance and Reporting:
- Deliver a calendar-based plan including income targets and communication goals
- Provide monthly updates on event success, attendance, and financial outcomes
- Updates to be shared club-wide via social, newsletter, and noticeboards
